About 52 students of Bekwai DSA Senior High School in the Ashanti region have been displaced after fire gutted the school’s boys’ dormitory. Joy News’ Erastus Asare Donkor reports that
the fire which started around 6:30pm at the Ameyaw Boys' dormitory, Wednesday burnt students’ study materials, mattresses, and other valuables. The prompt response of the fire service prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the school. “The cause of the fire is not yet known but it is being speculated that it might have been caused by illegal connections by the students,” he said.
